What you actually get in trade-insight
Real FIFO PnL across all your trades
The TR app shows you the PnL since your last login. We calculate the real PnL using First-In-First-Out across your full holding period. Stock splits are back-booked correctly, mergers as well. Warrants and knock-outs show up as one consolidated performance view across the whole warrant family, not fragmented per individual order.
Real drilldown view per position
Click a stock and see the full FIFO trail. What did the position really cost, what dividends did you collect, how does the cashflow look across the holding period, what's realised vs. unrealised. Tax view per position is included (German §20 EStG for stocks, §20 for futures, §23 for crypto).
Cashflow across the whole portfolio
A timeline across every money movement: dividends, interest, savings plans, realised gains. Grouped by month, quarter or year. You see at a glance when and how much comes in, no need to check each position individually.
Earnings calendar of your watchlist on one page
All upcoming quarterly results for your held stocks and watchlist symbols, sorted by date. Pre-market or post-market is marked. Beat/miss history per stock as context. No tab-hopping, no spreadsheet, no missed reminder.
Multi-source news matched to your portfolio
We pull news articles from multiple sources and dedupe via embedding comparison. Same story from three outlets becomes one card. AI sentiment marks whether an article is bullish, bearish or neutral. Filtered to the stocks you actually hold, instead of a spam stream of all headlines.
Two ways to get your data into trade-insight
Via CSV upload (no TR login required)
In the Trade Republic app go to Profile, then Activity, then Generate Report. You get a CSV with all transactions. Upload it to trade-insight. Data is parsed and calculated in your browser, no server storage.
Via pytr sync (Open Source)
If you prefer convenience, connect your Trade Republic account via pytr (Open Source library, github.com/pytr-org/pytr). You enter phone number plus PIN plus SMS code once, then trades are pulled automatically. Credentials never lie around in plaintext with us, session cookie is resumable.
What you don't enter
Your TR login data never goes to a foreign server. With CSV upload everything stays in the browser. With pytr sync the Trade Republic communication runs server-side in our multi-tenant bridge, but trade data is pushed directly into your browser's IndexedDB and not stored in our database. Server runs at IONOS in Germany, data processing agreement per Art. 28 GDPR. Code for the Trade Republic integration is Open Source.

FAQ
What does trade-insight cost?
Nothing. We are in beta. There is no premium model. We carry AI costs ourselves via a system key.
Do I have to enter my Trade Republic login data?
Only if you want to use the automatic sync via pytr. Alternatively you export the TR CSV (Profile, Activity, Generate Report) and upload it. With the CSV route nothing of yours lands on a foreign server.
What data leaves my browser?
Your trades never. In the news tab the ISINs of your positions go to Finnhub and article headlines go to our AI layer for sentiment scoring. Trade Republic events stay strictly local in your browser's IndexedDB.
Where does the server run?
At IONOS in Germany. There is a data processing agreement per Art. 28 GDPR. Backups land encrypted on the same server, no off-site transfer to third countries.
Which TR edge cases are supported correctly?
FIFO across all trade types including stock splits (e.g. NVIDIA 10:1), reverse splits, mergers with cash component, warrant family tracking (all knock-outs on the same underlying as one performance view), partial repayment with residual value, tax optimisation transfers, outgoing and incoming gifts.
What can trade-insight not yet do?
A complete tax statement with automatic Anlage KAP generation is planned but not yet live. A dedicated dividend forecast calendar (who pays when) is in discovery. Live charts and live ticker in the drilldown come in one of the next iterations.
